Leopard is Back, and it's Chic
Animal print has always been a classic fun print to spice up your look, and I'm excited to say that leopard is back for fall. Leopard print hasn't interested me since I was younger, but recently watching the trend coming out for pre-fall—I love the look. Leopard print works well with anything; the print looks great with booties, oversized sweaters, coats, and even jeans. It's quite stylish, while also giving off a youthful and edgy vibe. is back and it's chic. While working at J. Crew this summer, I watched the pre-fall collection come in, and I wasn't so sure about leopard coming back. I then realized how many looks I could pair the print with, and it is quite chic. I feel that the leopard trend came back and became a phenomenon with consumers when the midi leopard skirt came out from Relisation. The skirt was everywhere! but, I understand the hype. Above I have put together some leopard pieces to see how easily you can pair the look. If you haven't noticed how much leopard has been coming back, then I suggest to look into your go-to store or check out some styles online for your fall look!
Sustainable Swimwear Brands For Men and Women
Sustainability and eco-friendly materials are coming up more and more now in fashion, and it’s such a spectacular change. Brands we know are starting to introduce eco-friendly materials into their everyday clothing. Other brands are noticing that sustainability is only getting bigger in fashion, and an important aspect to consumers. Hopefully, sooner or later all brands in fashion will have eco-friendly materials or solely sustainable products. When it comes to how we can be eco-friendly in the summertime, here are some sustainable swimwear for men and women. I tried to look for the most moderate and inexpensive swimwear(eco-friendly clothing can be pricey because of the material). The swimwear I picked out has neutral colors, fun prints, and stylish designs and shapes. For men, there were not as many sustainable swimwear options as much as women, but there were some that I was able to discover that are stylish yet affordable. Most of these swimsuits are made out of recycled bottles, recycled nylon, and recycled polyester. If you want a closer look at these brands, click the images above to go straight to their website!
Lavender: My Obsession With The Color
I've been gravitating towards the color lavender for a while, and it has been an ongoing trend. I don't like to be too trendy, but I'm drawn to it. Even though it’s a hot trend for spring/summer, pastel can be worn year-round. Lavender is such a yummy color and usually a soft look, but lately, it has taken a youthful turn and brings coolness to any outfit. I realized that lavender is a complimentary color, it looks beautiful with any skin tone. Lavender doesn't disagree with other colors, it works together effortlessly. How can I describe lavender? Friendly, playful, and sweet, but doesn't try too hard to be seen. Lavender is here to stay and play.
Don't forget to look above at some looks I put together, combining lavender and lilac.

Thoughts on the Jacquemus Menswear and Womenswear S/S' 20
I've been really excited to talk about this collection and the show overall. The location of the show was genius and beautiful; a lavender field is a perfect idea to introduce a spring/summer collection in my eyes. The name of the show was "Le Coup De Soleil", this translates to "The Sunburn.”
I want to talk about the collection itself, which I completely adore. The palette in this collection perfectly represents a summer palette with hot pinks, sky blues, shades of orange, and a trendy color right now: pistachio. The light blue flower pantsuit is a chic, youthful, and summer look all in one. Also, if you look closely into the detail, the oversized dressed shirt has a scenic countryside panting, this can be worn as streetwear. As I talk about detail, a lot of the pieces have reoccurring print and the stitching is so subtle, but yet so gorgeous. I want to add that some plaid was used, which is an ongoing trend that is classic until this day.
With the menswear, I liked that there were bright and pastel colors for men, —which I would like to see more of—it shows that even if men wear light and feminine colors, it can still be worn just as well as masculine looks. The pieces can be used as streetwear or as a countryside style. Overall, I adored this collection.

Met Gala: Notes On Camp
This year’s 2019 Met Gala the theme was Notes on Camp. But what is camp? Camp is to be as extra and extravagant as possible, but sometimes it means to look tacky. Notes on camp were such an amazing idea for the theme because there were no limits when it came to dress-code,—there were no rules— it time for guests to come out and be as creative as they can. Camp has a different beauty, but it's not about having classic appeal, because camp is not always pleasing to the eye.
My ultimate favorite looks above are from Priyanka Chopra, Hailee Steinfeld, Lupita Nyong'o, Dua Lipa, Wendy Deng Murdoch, Cara Delevingne, Tracee Ellis Ross, Erza Miller, Michael Urie, Gigi Hadid, and Janelle Monaé. These guests used many vibrant colors, patterns, and unlimited creativity. Cara Delevingne is wearing Dior, and I think her look is a fantastic representation of Camp. There is a wide range of color, the large platforms, a cane to be extra, then to top it off--a whimsical headpiece. I love camp because of its sole purpose of having no rules. This theme goes hand and hand with fashion.

My Fashion Inspiration Jeanne Damas
Jeanne Damas is the face of Parisienne style; she is a French model, actress, author, and founder of her clothing brand called Rouje. Rouje is the typical French girl style. Personally the Parisienne style is my favorite type of style, and what I love about it is the simplicity and aesthetic of it all. I have noticed Jeanne Damas for awhile, but since I have looked more into her life and social media; I am obsessed with her sense of fashion. I don't have long list of fashion icons I follow, but Damas definitely struck me. If you're not familiar with the Parisienne style or want to learn more about Jeanne Damas and her work, take a look at her Instagram: @jeannedamas.
The New Bead Bag Trend
I’m honestly so happy about this trend!! The beaded bag trend has been getting more popular, and other brands are picking up on it too. The beaded bag is so chic, and adding this to any outfit can instantly look more stylish and spunky. I find this new bag to be so girly and elegant, but also really fun with a variety of colors. The beaded bag trend reminds me of when I was younger, always playing dress-up with all my little beaded toy bags. This bag can bring out the kid in you, but also take your accessories to another level. The beaded bag can be pricey with other brands but I have found some that are still adorable but affordable on Zara, ASOS, and Etsy.
The Spring Season Is Here
Spring is here at last. What I love the most about spring is the blooming of colors after winter and the aesthetic of pastels. When I envision the spring season, I think of pastel colors when it comes to the wardrobe. To me, pastels are essential, they’re bright, playful, and give off a soft look. When I think of spring and the warm weather, I think of refreshing looks and movement within clothing. Comfortable mini dresses, satin pants, silk dresses, and maxi dresses are known as the strict wardrobe for spring, and I believe it is still true when going into spring. You can find satin pants and flowy pants at Nordstrom, Free People, Revolve, and Tobi. You can also find spring mini dresses, silk dresses, and maxi dresses at Revolve, Nordstrom, and Free People. For more affordable mini and maxi dresses, you can go online at Sybil J.
Opinions and Favorite Shows from New York Fashion Week
In this year’s New York Fashion Week, I mainly noticed a lot more casual pieces and pops of color. The pictures above are my favorite collections in fashion week with Calvin Luo, Oscar de la Renta, Marissa Webb, The Row, Longchamp, Self-Portrait, Cushnie et Ochs, Rag & Bone, Ralph Lauren, Elie Tahari, Victor Glemaud, L'Agence, Rachel Comey, La Vie by Rebecca Taylor, and Acne Studios. What I love the most about these collections is how casual the pieces are, and how easily you can wear them in your daily life. I have also noticed the use of plaid in NYFW, (I personally love plaid) and how much it is being used with pantsuits. I’m very happy with the huge comeback of plaid and how many collections incorporated it. I also enjoyed the pop of color in these collections, especially in Oscar de la Renta, Victor Glemaud, and Cushnie et Ochs. I was very pleased with Oscar de la Renta and his usage of orange+red shaded colors, with an overall fall palette. This then brings me to Victor Glemaud, his colorful collection included bright orange pieces, which showcase the many ways the color can be worn. Lastly, Cushnie et Ochs has the most delicious and eye-pleasing purple+pink pieces in their collection, which really pops out in the palette of the collection.
The Transparent Bag
The transparent bag has been an ongoing trend and continues to do so. Transparency has been seen a lot lately in the past few years in clothing, accessories, and shoes. Adding a transparent piece to an outfit can entice anyone who has a quick glance—like a statement piece—to leave anything out in the open when it comes to the transparent bag. The transparent bag has a sense of vulnerability when it comes to exposing your go-to bag items. Transparency shows a quick inside look about who you are and your personality, which some people might not feel comfortable with. Trends like this are now letting you decide how comfortable you are with letting yourself be fully seen in the world, which is bringing the transparent bag to another level. What's inside a woman's bag has always been secret and private, not too suddenly be looked through by just anyone. The transparency bag may seem plain and simple, but actually quite fun and interesting.
My Favorite Looks From Met Gala 2018
The theme for the Met Gala this year: Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination. This theme is one of my favorite themes the Met Gala has done. The creations of the design were between fashion and masterworks of religious art. Religious art itself has so much meaning and beauty, so creativity is limitless with the combination of fashion and Catholic design. Some guests outdid themselves with the theme and followed it to the T; these looks were so complex and had many beautiful details, and the architecture of the outfits gave a live recreation of these paintings.
The Trends For Summer 2018
The trends this summer when it comes to clothing is the simple white dress, and the '90s mini pattern dresses— which I adore. Whether it's a short or long white dress, it gives off a feeling of fresh air and romance for the summertime. I could wear a mini '90s dress every day, they're so comfy yet so stylish and youthful.
Statement Pieces
Statement pieces are an interesting or eye-catching piece of clothing or accessory in an outfit. I love statement pieces because it can pull a whole look together with simply colorful shoes, bold jewelry, or anything that pops out to the eye. A statement piece is supposed to be something that someone first notices about your outfit, or can draw their eyes to. I adore statement pieces because they can be so powerful for your outfit; a statement piece also gives you the chance to show your style to whichever extent.
Blazers For Winter
Winter is approaching and I’m obsessed with blazers this year. I always like the business suit, oversized blazers, and blazers dress look. I think it’s a great piece for the winter season. I especially adore plaid blazers (or anything plaid lately) and how elegant and fashionable the look is for the winter.
Sustainable Fashion Brands
There is so much importance for sustainability brands and what they're doing for the world. Sustainability in fashion is continuously growing and taking over fast fashion. Fast fashion is produced in mass productions that are spread out around the world; these large factories contain many factory workers, making low-quality fabrics, are paid unfairly, and exposed to dangerous chemicals. Many factories around the world make clothing that we see in our go-to fast fashion stores/websites. These workers are working in bad conditions and producing clothing that is damaging for the environment, uses gallons of water, and wasteful. There are many brands to think about that are being environmentally conscious, and thinking about their workers fairly.
